Tim
'Gonzo' Gordon:
Bio:
Tim grew up in the mountains of Oregon across the highway from a ski
resort, so it wasn’t hard to foresee that he’d spend a
lot of his life on skis bombing down steep snow-covered mountains.
At an
early age he discovered The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Monkees,
The Yardbirds, Paul Revere and the Raiders and other long-haired loud
rock ‘n’ roll bands, which led him to become a drummer
at a tender young age, influenced as much by Lennon's other-worldly
“I Am The Walrus” as by “Train Kept A-Runnin’
(All Night Long)” from the Yardbirds.
Figured
out how to play guitar in his early 20s; discovered Bob Marley and
reggae music in his early twenties and is still heavily influenced
by Jamaican music.
Got
into broadcasting at age 19, and spent more than 25 years behind the
microphone: oldies, classic rock and country music; program director,
news director, production director, voice talent, traffic reporter,
talk show host, morning show host and co-host, news anchor.
Online:
Did
a short-lived streaming audio ‘best of’ comedy show online
in the mid-90s; launched a handful of websites during that same period
more for fun than business-related reasons.
Launched
DigitalAudioWorld.com
2003, which features information on how to set up a high-quality,
low-budget home recording studio.
Wrote

Roger
Pike:
Roger
is a Texan, born in Dallas, who moved to Oregon while in high school.
Roger attended Forest Grove High School where he distinguished himself
as an athlete and public speaker.
Roger
attended college at Lewis and Clark in Portland where he studied communication
and was a member of the Pioneer’s national traveling public
speaking competitive team. Roger’s honors in collegiate public
speaking number in the dozens.
In his
professional life, Roger worked for more than a decade in radio, spending
most of that time as News and Public Information Director for various
stations. Rogers duties included extensive on-air work and it was
in radio where Roger first began training on-air staff. His professional
skills were instrumental in producing ratings successes wherever he
went. In one case, a station climbed more than 15 ratings places,
due, in part, to Rogers skill as speaker and coach.
Even
after he left radio, Roger pursued his passion for speaking and coaching.
As a toastmaster, Roger excelled as speaker, leader and mentor. As
a competitive Toastmaster Roger won numerous Division International
speaking championships and was the Ben Medofsky District champion
in Humorous public speaking. Roger mentored many successful Toastmasters
and, while President of the club designed and implemented a detailed,
outcomes based, mentoring program. While co-President, with Communications
Steroids co-founder Tim Patterson, the club achieved the highest award
offered by the Toastmasters organization.
Roger
has worked in the political arena as well, coaching speakers and writing
speeches for two state legislative campaigns and as a Public Information
Director. His volunteer work includes serving on the marketing committee
for his local United Way office.
Roger
is more than an award-winning speaker. He is an exceptional communicator
who has dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring others.
